Absolutely loved this short book. Great story with compelling twists. Not so much steamy but certainly had a 'hotness' about it. Storyline was modern, well written, and clear. Most people are a bit skittish about blind dates, but this one worked out well and had a good ending. Certainly looking for more writing from Morgan Kay.Product details

I really enjoyed reading this novella. Darla and "Alex" had so much chemistry I swear my kindle was on fire! While the story did seem a tad outrageous you are completely distracted by Alex's charm and I found myself getting as side tracked as Darla was. As I was reading I figured out what was going to happen, but that left me to enjoy Alex's seduction LOL
This was a short read and it held my attention the entire time. This is Book #1 is the Steamy Interlude Series.

I met my husband on a blind date, but I had my friend there with me with her boyfriend, who is friend's with my husband. This book I loved the idea of a blind date because it was how I met my husband, but I was intrigued with the idea of the what ifs with this short book. What if Darla went the man she was to meet? Would she have that kind of chemistry with him? I think not. What if the man she did meet told her who he was? Would Darla say goodbye before she knew that he could be "the one"? I have read book #6, Incognito and this one so far in the series and this book is my favorite. Not sure if that will be the case when I finish the others.
I gave 4 stars because I did not think it was exactly erotic. It was not like the other books I have read in this genre.

This claims to be an Erotic Romance but in my opinion, there was nothing erotic about it. Yes, the characters had sex, but there was nothing specifically detailed. Basically the characters knew each other for less than 24 hours but that was as close to erotic that it got.
It was a cute story concept. Wish it had been longer. Written as a single pov. If you want hot and steamy, this is not it. If you want cute with a hint at the sexual interactions, then this is what you are looking for.
All in all, a good read but not what I expected.
Would I recommend this book? As Erotic - No, if short and cute, Yes
Would I read more from this author? Yes

Blind Date is a quick read, it's a fun premise and it's got a HEA, a reader can't ask for more than that. Darla seemed uptight and obsessed with work until she met 'Alex'. Out waiting for her blind date, Darla meets up with who she thinks is Alex and she falls. The interactions between Alex and Darla and sweet and steamy all at the same time. They definitely have chemistry.
Alex does everything a woman wants from her dream man. He sweeps Darla off her feet with romance and his alpha behavior.
Of course there's the twist ending, but I use twist lightly as it was very predictable through the story. Instead of throwing the final scene into the story, I would have liked to see the author take the sex scenes to a higher level, make them a little steamier. Still a great read and worth the time.
The story was really good. I just kinda wish it was a little more finished. Rather than just dead ending like it did.

Love the accidental date and all that follows. Short, sweet, and the perfect chemistry. And yes American males need to learn how to romance.
